Read full description of the books:
So, here we are, nine years in the future. The first half of this issue was devoted mostly to introducing Chloe's son. Seems like the son-of-a-badguy who knocked her up has stuck by her. They've raised the child together in Australia under secret identities. However, little boy wonder has his own plans. Turns out, he dons a costume just like his legendary grandparents, and rescues those in need--never once looking for credit of his wondrous abilities.
Brandon is doing no better. Apparently, he's living in the White House now. None of Walter's plans have worked out. People are rioting in the streets. And everyone is being watched ... all. the, damn. time. Ugh. If our world turns into a police state, I'm jumping off. This is a vision of the future I'd rather not happen.
Brandon and Chloe have not seen each other since Brandon and Walter killed their parents. I don't blame her for wanting to stay away from him--and keep her son away from them. This is so against what superheroes are about. How does Brandon not see this--and how could Walter destroy the legacy he helped to create. Ah, futility. I am not exactly sure where Millar is headed after this issue. This issue kinda reset the game a little. A lot of time has passed, some people have changed, others have not ... I'm not sure Uncle Walter is going to live through the story ... at least not in any way that he likes ... unless he constructs it with his mind.
