Read full description of the books:
In this informative book all about the life and accomplishments of Benjamin Franklin, author Robert Byrd uses text and vibrant art to show the many ways Ben Franklin contributed to American history. He was a printer, writer, publisher, inventor, and founding Father of the new American nation. Most famous for his interest in electricity, Ben was also a man with many other interests.
This book was an honor recipient of the Robert F. Sibert Informational Book Medal. Recommended for grades K-3, students will find the very detailed illustrations with captions interesting and informative. Broken up into several parts of Franklin's life, from early years to his scientific discoveries, to his more philosophical years, this book is filled with many colorful illustrations. Used in a classroom, I think this book would be best suited for children in second grade and up, and read over the course of several days, as each two page spread is filled with many facts that may overwhelm younger students.
